Replacing the hides at Kelham Bridge

Birdwatching at Kelham Bridge

Just a few miles from Ibstock and Coalville, many birdwatchers are drawn to Kelham Bridge, especially in the late Spring. Being able to view the huge variety of birds - from kingfisher and sedge warbler to kestrel and merlin - from the hides adds so much to the experience, while ensuring the wildlife remains undisturbed.

Our hides are now 15-20 years old, and have deteriorated over the years. Being able to replace these hides would create much safer spaces for visitors to Kelham Bridge while harmonising with the character of the landscape, and ensure that those visiting the reserve have the best experience possible.
