Join our board of Trustees and help us to bring local wildlife back!

The Trustees who make up LRWT’s Council play a vital role in the life of our charity. Trustees are ultimately responsible for the governance of the organisation, development of its strategic direction, and oversight of the charity’s key decisions. They work closely with the CEO and staff to do this.

So our Council needs to reflect a wide range of skills and expertise.

We are currently recruiting new Trustees.

By joining our Council, and helping to guide our charity, you will be making a unique contribution to our Wildlife Trust’s vital mission. We know that governing bodies, like our Council, which are made up of different backgrounds and experience are more likely to encourage debate and to make better decisions – so we encourage applications from all ages and backgrounds. And as a Trustee, you can also learn leadership experience, and network with like-minded people.

Local action, collective impact, global change. That’s what it will take to bring our wildlife back.

We welcome applications from anyone who is passionate about nature’s recovery. However in this round of recruitment, we are particularly interested to hear from applicants who have skills, knowledge and experience in one or more of the following areas:

  •  Public relations and media
  •  Conservation management policy and/or practice
  •  Community outreach and youth engagement
  •  Large-scale grant funding
  •  Big Data management, visualisation and impact measurement.
