About the event

Join our Reserve Officers for an evening of badger watching from our Badger Hide at Egleton.

The hide is situated close to the badger set and here you can enjoy fantastic views as our resident family venture out on their evening forage.

The Badger Watch evenings start at around dusk and go on for approximately 2 hours. Not only do you have a chance to see badgers (not guaranteed!) but also other nocturnal creatures and previous highlights include Tawny Owl, Barn Owl, Bats, Foxes and Muntjac Deer.

Our Badger Watches are open to all ages. We leave it to the parent’s discretion as to whether or not a Watch is suitable for their child, bearing in mind we have to sit and be quiet for over two hours.

Torches are a good idea but not essential: please wear suitable clothing, it can get quite cold the in the evenings

Badger Watches will go ahead in all but the most extreme weather. In the unlikely event that we have to cancel a Watch we will ring you in advance and re-arrange another date.
