There are only three days to go till this year’s Birdfair! Get ready for three days of over 180 wildlife events and talks, whether you are new to Birdfair or a regular, there is something for everybody! Tickets are still available, get yourshere.
For all those budding young conservationists head to the Wild Zone to explore, discover and make with Leicestershire and Rutland Wildlife Trust, RSPB and Rutland Willow.
The Wild Zone will be located adjacent to and within the Anglian Water Birdwatching Centre.
At the outdoor marquee in the woods get involved with:
Bug Hunting – (timed sessions between 11.00 – 16.00)
Pond Dipping – (timed sessions between 11.00 – 16.00)
Crafts – have a go at making clay animals, a leaf animal bookmark, peg dragonfly and more
Bug hotel building and badge making with the RSPB
Willow weaving with Rutland Willow
Join us inside the Anglian Water Birdwatching Centre for a number of fun, interactive and educational talks throughout the weekend:
Friday and Sunday – children’s talks from how to identify nature calls, looking for wildlife in your garden and finding out the coolest nature facts!
On Saturday join in with the Youth conservation career clinics and workshops - learn what it takes to kickstart a career in conservation and what it is like working for a conservation organisation
