Trust Conservation Officer Andy Lear will be leading volunteer work parties every Wednesday in Launde Park Wood.
“To join us meet at 9.30am at the entrance of the wood where there is parking available. Bring your lunch, a stout pair of boots and waterproofs and we will provide tools, gloves and helmets,” Andy said.
“The work will involve a range of woodland tasks including coppicing, tree thinning and ride widening in a large ancient woodland nature reserve. We should finish by 3.30pm.”
Directions and more information on Launde Park Wood can be found on the Trust’s website http://lrwt.org.uk/nature-reserves/launde-woods/
If you are interested in joining us please contact Andy by e-mail (email@example.com) or phone (0116 248 7362).
We do not usually cancel tasks but sometimes the weather is against us – so it is important that you let Andy know that you will be coming out on the task – so that he can contact you if the task is not going ahead.
Can’t make Wednesdays but would still like to help manage Trust nature reserves? Why not consider joining our regular mid-week and weekend volunteer tasks. The full programme can be found on the Trust website http://lrwt.org.uk/get-involved or contact Reserves Officer John Bristow on 0116 248 7360 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
