Summary: Improve and develop your plant identification skills on this short course Tuesday evenings 1st Oct - 10th Dec 2019
This part-time course is for everyone keen to develop or improve their plant identification skills. We aim to increase your appreciation, enjoyment and understanding of the diversity of the British flora.
By combining lectures and laboratory classes at the Botanic Garden, we start by teaching you how to identify the main plant groups and important families (module 1, October-December). Then we introduce you to the methods and practice of species identification by means of field trips (module 2, April-June).
Module 1: Plant families. Every Tuesday, 6.30-9.30pm, 1 October to 10 December 2019.
Module 2: Plant species. 6 Sunday field trips, 10am-4pm, April-June 2020, dates to be advised.
