About the event

Our first celebration walk of the year to mark our triple anniversary.

Open to both members and non-members, join us on this Wonderful Winter Wildfowl Walk at Cossington Meadows.

This reserve comes alive during the winter months; rafts of ducks floating upon the water, geese and swans flying in low to land, short-eared owls keeping watch upon fenceposts.

Though the days of January might be short and grey, colour can be found at this wetland reserve.

Join Chris Hill, Reserve Officer, for a winter’s walk around the site and enjoy the      russets of the Wigeon, the iridescence of the Teal and the stark yellows of the Gadwall’s paddling feet.
