Learning for all ages

Learning about nature doesn't have to stop when you grow up. We want everyone to cherish and feel empowered to take action for wildlife, no matter what age you are. Our courses, volunteering opportunities, Wild Horizons group and wildlife gardening project, Grow Wild, can help anyone over the age of 18 to connect with wildlife. Just see what we've got to offer...

Wild Horizons

Courses, events & activities

We offers a ranges of activities for all ages throughout the year., particularly based around the beautiful Rutland Water Nature Reserve. If you're looking to gain some practical heritage skills, you can join one of our interesting countryside courses, such as hedge-laying, dry stone walling or charcoal burning to name a few. Or try your hand at a range of art and crafts, including photography, painting or willow weaving. We offer the chance to improve identification skills and experience nature close-up on one of our wildlife workshops, bird ringing demonstrations, dawn chorus walks and evening badger watches.
