Other opportunities

There are lots of different ways you can volunteer with Leicestershire and Rutland Wildlife Trust. 

Please note: Due to the impact of COVID 19, we are currently running a restricted programme of volunteering activities with small groups. Because of this, we unfortunately do not have the capacity to take on any new volunteers at this time. 

Helping in the office

We have opportunities to volunteer in our central office in Leicester or at our office base at Rutland Water to support us in areas of work including membership, fundraising, marketing, finance and HR. Please email info@lrwt.org.uk if you are interested.

Volunteering with the Rutland Osprey Project 

If you would like to get involved with the Rutland Osprey Project, there are a number of opportunities available including monitoring nests, supporting visitors in the hides and helping out at the Visitor Centre. To find out more please email volunteering@lrwt.org.uk

Duke of Edinburgh Awards

There are opportunities at Rutland Water Nature Reserve to undertake activities that will help towards achieving an Award.

Work Experience

We have a limited number of school work experience placements available each year based at Rutland Water Nature Reserve and from our office in Leicester.

Corporate volunteering at Rutland Water

We can cater for groups of all shapes and sizes through our Volunteer Training Centre, offering the perfect base for your meeting, away day or team-building activity.
