Current Volunteering Opportunities

Right now we are looking for some experienced volunteers who are willing to give their time to support Leicestershire and Rutland Wildlife Trust.  If you believe you can help, please get in touch.

Corporate Engagement Volunteer

Do you have any experience in corporate engagement? Do you have time spare to help us better understand the region's businesses by helping us compile information and contacts on Leicestershire and Rutland’s leading employers? Do you want to help us protect and engage people in nature across our region?

We are starting on an ambitious journey to help build more support and engagement from the business community and YOU can help us get off to a flying start.

Support from local businesses makes a huge difference for wild places across our region. By building partnerships in local communities, we can achieve more for wildlife and bring more people closer to nature.

If you can spare some time (initially remotely working from home) building up some core information and contacts initially via internet research, we would love to hear from you. Immediate start available, guidance and support provided.

For further information or to offer your assistance please email jperry@lrwt.org.uk

Grant Research Volunteer

Do you have any experience in fundraising and grants? Do you have time spare to help us better understand what grant-giving opportunities exist that can support key areas of our work? Do you want to play a significant role in helping protect nature across Leicestershire and Rutland?

We are looking for someone to help us research and compile information and contacts for grant-giving organisations across the UK.

We are starting our ambitious journey to help inspire 1 in 4 people to take action for nature by 2030. This will mean expanding our visibility, education and volunteer programmes as well as delivering funded engagement projects that connect people with nature across Leicestershire and Rutland. Much of this ambition will require new funding streams and this is where YOU can help make a real difference.

If you can spare some time (initially remotely working from home) building up some core information and contacts initially via internet research, we would love to hear from you. Immediate start available, guidance and support provided.

For further information or to offer your assistance, please email jperry@lrwt.org.uk

Volunteer Campaign Assistant

Do you have any experience in stakeholder engagement, PR or campaign planning? Do you want to play a significant role in supporting nature’s recovery?

We are looking for a volunteer to help us research press contacts, write draft press releases and to support us in planning a significant campaign for nature across our region.

If you can spare some time (initially remotely working from home) initially building press, local authority and stakeholder contacts via internet research and then moving onto press and stakeholder engagement then we would love to hear from you. Immediate start available, guidance, PR training and support provided.

For further information or to offer your assistance please email jperry@lrwt.org.uk
