Hamilton Library has developed a Wildlife Gardening group that runs two days a week, where the local community can come together to learn new skills as well as contribute the the local greenspace!
Every gardening session offers refreshments, the oppurtunity to learn and get involved with gardening, conservation and local sustainability - as well as building new community connections, getting outside in nature and aiding well-being.
The Trust first became involved with Hamilton Library by hosting a 4-week long 'basics of gardening' and butterfly workshop. From this point, the Library turned to creating a natural green space, providing the environment for nature to grow, people to learn, and spread knowdlege and awareness of both gardening and the importance of conservation.
