This year is extra special — it’s our triple anniversary year, and we have so much to celebrate!
- 70 years ago, Leicestershire and Rutland Wildlife Trust became a registered charity.
- 50 years ago, Rutland Water Nature Reserve opened, becoming a haven for wildlife and visitors alike.
- 30 years ago, our Osprey Project began, bringing these incredible birds back to our counties.
We couldn’t have reached these milestones without our amazing members — and we’d love for you to join us in the celebrations!

When you become a member of Leicestershire and Rutland Wildlife Trust, you will be helping us safeguard Leicestershire and Rutland’s precious wildlife and wild places. You'll also be joining a community of like-minded people who are supporting us in our work to protect wildlife, care for our nature reserves, restore and reconnect wild places, inspire people about nature, educate future conservationists and campaign for wildlife.
You will also become a part of the wider Wildlife Trust movement with access to over 2200 nature reserves. Check with each Trust for any entry/permit/parking charges before you visit.

We ask for a modest subscription to cover the administration costs associated with your membership. If you are able to, please consider giving a greater subscription of £5 or more per month. We are extremely thankful for your generosity.

Only members of Leicestershire and Rutland Wildlife Trust can purchase an annual permit which allows up to 2 adults and 3 children to enter the Rutland Water Nature Reserve at The Anglian Water Birdwatching Centre and the Lyndon Visitor Centre.
This offers huge savings if you plan to visit Rutland Water Nature Reserve regularly.
All you have to do is purchase an individual or a joint or a family membership. Present your membership card at one of the visitor centres and ask to buy an annual permit.
