During the summer holidays, we want all children to get outdoors in their garden, Local Park or Nature Reserve and explore the wonderful wildlife summer has to offer. We have loads of activity ideas from discovering wildlife to arts and crafts.
Please follow the current Government social distancing guidance for your area whilst taking part in these activities.

Wildlife Watch Hedgehog Awards
Get outside, explore, do and make to gain a Hedgehog Award this summer.
Send a photo and brief description of each completed activity and your child’s name, age and address to firstname.lastname@example.org and their Hedgehog Award will be posted to them.
We have extended the Hedgehog Awards for all 5 – 12 year olds in Leicestershire and Rutland until 31st August.
Each August we hold Birdfair at Rutland Water Nature Reserve with RSPB. This year due to COVID 19 restrictions the event will be going virtual! The children’s and family Wild Zone will be packed full of great how to videos, art activities and much more.
