Meeting at the Anglian Water Birdwatching Centre car park, you will be welcomed into the fascinating world of bird ringing! Learn all about netting, ringing and releasing a variety of birds. Session slots are 8-9:30am and 9:30-11am with tickets including the cost of entry onto the nature reserve for the rest of the day and a hot drink and slice of cake. Suitable for ages 16+.
About the event
This is a fantastic opportunity for those interested in birds, to see several species up close while they are being ringed and released. We will show you how we identify and age the birds, with plenty of exciting facts along the way!
Each ringing demonstration will last one hour and 30 minutes, but can then be followed by a fantastic walk around the nature reserve, as your cost for the event also includes a day permit for both the Anglian Water Bird Watching Centre in Egelton and Lyndon Nature Reserve. Included in the cost is also a hot drink and slice of cake.

This includes parking and a day permit for the entire nature reserve, and a hot drink and slice of cake.

Please arrive at the Anglian Water Birdwatching Centre 10 minutes before your booked slot.
The sessions are outside so please dress for the weather.
If you have a Rutland Water Reserve Annual Permit, please do bring your card with you.
