On Saturday 18th September, Wildlife Watch members had fun filled afternoon at Rutland Water Nature Reserve at their Wildlife Watch Annual Event.
Some 350 junior Wildlife Watch members and their families attended Wet and Wild, where they took part in lots of fantastic water themed activities including pond dipping, willow dragonfly weaving, Living Seas arts and crafts and natural raft building.
Wildlife Watch is the UK's leading action club for children and young people aged 5 – 12 who are interested in wildlife and the environment. In addition to the Annual Event, regular Wildlife Watch group meetings take place throughout the year in the two counties.
Rachel Ibbotson, Education Officer for Leicestershire & Rutland Wildlife Trust, said: “The Wildlife Watch Annual Event is a fantastic way to celebrate a year of wildlife watching and a great opportunity for our Wildlife Watch members to meet up and have some fun together whilst learning about wildlife.”
