Birdfair is simply the place to be to find out the latest in the world of wildlife and just gets better and better!

More than 350 exhibitors from all the over the world help to make it a truly international gathering! Everything from wildlife holidays to birding equipment - binoculars, 'scopes, cameras, the latest apps and technology, clothing, bird food, books, wildlife art, and much, much more is on offer!
You simply pay to enter, then all the entertainment is free including four simultaneous lecture programmes, quizzes plus fun and games for all the family throughout the three days.
Wildlife celebrities include Chris Packham, Simon King, Bill Oddie, Dominic Couzens, Mike Dilger, Stephen Moss, Johnny Kingdom, David Lindo, Jonathan and Angie Scott, Miranda Krestovnikoff, Matthew Gordon and Patrick Barkham.
And you can enjoy wonderful birdwatching and other wildlife in beautiful countryside on the shores of Rutland Water.
Don't forget to visit our stand (OD/2) where you can get up to date with the latest news from the Trust and the Rutland Osprey Project who will also be offering a range of children's activities. Also on th stand will be Leicestershire and Rutland Wildlife Watch, the Trust's junior wing, with lots of interesting life cycle themed actitivies. Urban Birder, David Lindo, willl lead children's birdwatching on Saturday at 2.30pm and Sunday at 11am that can be booked on the stand.
Jointly organised by the Leicestershire and Rutland Wildlife Trust and the RSPB, this year’s Birdfair is raising funds to support BirdLife International's project Protecting the World's Seas and Oceans.
Open from 9am to 5.30pm on each of the three days (August 15-17), you can purchase your ticket on-line: one day e-ticket: £13.50 (£15 on the gate), three day e-ticket £31.50 (£35 on the gate), children free.
Remember there is a special Sunday price for Wildlife Trust and RSPB members: £11.50 e-ticket (£13.50 on the gate)
