Why not avoid the hustle and bustle of the shopping centres and combine a Christmas shopping trip with a nice, relaxing visit to Rutland Water Nature Reserve.
The Leicestershire and Rutland Wildlife Trust shop within the Anglian Water Birdwatching Centre offers a wide variety of gifts to suit every age group including:
- Stocking fillers - or pocket money buys - for children
- Special osprey Christmas cards raising money for the Rutland Osprey Project’s work with school in the Gambia. Plus Rutland Ospreys specially designed mugs and T-shirts.
- Original artwork by John Wright and other local wildlife artists
- A variety of bird books to appeal to beginners and experts alike
Choose from some great ranges that are still arriving including Archipelago bird ornaments.
While you are there you could treat your garden birds by stocking up with bird seed and feeders.
The Trust shop in the Anglian Water Birdwatching Centre is open daily from 9am to 4pm during December except Christmas Eve when it will close at lunch time, Christmas Day and Boxing Day. It is clearly signposted from the A6003, one mile south of Oakham. Click here for further details.
