Bring the family to our Osprey Family Fun Day at Rutland Water Nature Reserve’s Lyndon Centre (LE15 8RN) on Tuesday August 1 for a fun-filled day for all the family.
Children can be an osprey for the day and migrate through the nature reserve to West Africa (aka Waterscrape hide), by undertaking osprey-related activities along the way.
Activities include making osprey masks and badges, catching fish and feeding chicks.
Carole Brookes of Nature Knits will return for a second year, selling her popular handmade knitted ospreys, and more. Another extra will be a bird rining display with the chance to se small birds close up and learn about ringing.
No need to book, just turn up between 10am and 3pm on the day. Entry is £10 per family. For an extra £2 you can have a copy of ‘Be an Osprey Expert’ with questions, quizzes and more for you to complete.
