The countdown to Birdfair 2016 has begun.
Rutland Water Nature Reserve at Egleton from Friday August 19 to Sunday August 21 is simply the place to be to find out the latest in the world of wildlife – so come and join in the fun.
Four simultaneous lecture programmes, quizzes plus fun and games for all the family, and much, much more is there to enjoy.
Hundreds of exhibitors from all the over the world help to make it a truly international gathering, offering everything from wildlife holidays to birding equipment, clothing to bird food, books to magazines, wildlife charities to wildlife art.
Indulge in some wildlife celebrity spotting. Chris Packham, Simon King, Mike Dilger, Mark Avery, Jess French and Nigel Marvin are among those who have signed up to be there.
Cook Street is our exciting, vibrant food zone that is rocking the live event food scene and proved a great success last year as did the chance to buy local produce to eat on site or take home and is back for 2016!
And you can enjoy wonderful birdwatching and other wildlife on the shores of Rutland Water.
Jointly organised by the Leicestershire and Rutland Wildlife Trust and the RSPB, this year’s Birdfair is raising funds to help save important bird areas in Africa.

Simply pay to enter then all the entertainment is free. Tickets are on sale at the entrances each day but you can buy your ticket/s on-line in advance and save money. There is also a special Sunday price for Wildlife Trust and RSPB members.
