Nature Detectives Week (7-14 years)

When: Monday 5th August 2019, 9:30 a.m.

Where: Anglian Water Birdwatching Centre, Egleton, LE15 8BT

Summary: A full week of awesome outdoor activities! Including two full days of bushcraft! The perfect opportunity to learn about our native wildlife. A great boredom buster for 7-14 year olds.

MONDAY 5TH AUGUST to FRIDAY 9TH AUGUST (9.30am - 4.00pm)

Monday – BUGS AND WATER! At the Anglian Water Birdwatching Centre. Bug hunting in the woods and meadows.  Water based activities including pond dipping and additional crafts and games.

Tuesday – BIRDS! At the Lyndon Visitor Centre. Bird ringing demo (weather dependent). We watch the famous Rutland Ospreys and other birds with games and crafts

Wednesday – BUSHCRAFT! At Barnsdale Wood. Including woodland exploration and wood carving.

Thursday – BUSHCRAFT! At Barnsdale Wood. Basic bush craft including making a fire and toasting marshmallows, even if it’s hot!

Thursday is followed by a sleepover in our Watersports Campsite. (Camp out is only available to those who book the whole week)

Friday – FUN AND GAMES! Finish the week with some fun and games, and a walk to the Beach! (Friday runs till 12pm only, and is only available for those who sleepover)
