The Leicestershire and Rutland Wildlife Trust is delighted to receive a very generous donation of £12,500 from local company, Husky – a leading global refrigeration specialist.
Serge Kremer, CEO and owner of Husky, said: “At Husky, we are committed to ensuring all our products are developed to be as energy efficient as possible. Having said that, we realise our products do have an impact on the environment, however small. So we felt it was time to give something back to the environment. As a Lutterworth based company which has been in business for over 25 years, we are proud to support local conservationists who are doing such a fantastic job in maintaining and enhancing the environment in Leicestershire and Rutland for generations to come.”
Simon Bentley, Director of the Leicestershire and Rutland Wildlife Trust, said: “We can’t thank Husky enough. The donation will help us to support our Living Landscape projects which aim to restore, recreate, and reconnect fragmented habitats, creating a resilient and healthy environment, highly valued and accessible for everyone.”
