Birdfair Office Assistant

20 hours per week

Fixed term contract from 1st March to 16th September

Salary £16,696 per annum pro rata

Exciting opportunity to assist with the annual Birdfair at Rutland Water Nature Reserve. Working as part of a small friendly team, the successful candidate will be well organised and have excellent IT skills. The ability to maintain and build good relationships with both internal team members and external contacts is essential.

Sessional Education Officer

Beginning of March to 16th December 2016 with possible extension

£10 / hour

Likely to be around 7 hours a week, with possible extra hours, worked flexibly to include weekends and school holidays

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Sessional Education Officer at Leicestershire and Rutland Wildlife Trust to develop and deliver activities and initiatives for children and young people. The aim is to engage them with the natural environment and the issues affecting it.

This will principally involve the delivery of the Trust’s EYFS, KS1 and KS2 Environmental Education Programme, running a Wild Tots pre-school group and planning, preparing for and delivering Wild Play events for children and their families.

Applicants should have experience of delivering informal environmental education, organising events, child welfare and safety and working in schools plus supervising and motivating volunteers. Forest School Leader – Level 3 qualification is desirable.

Leicestershire and Rutland Wildlife Trust is part of the national network of 47 Wildlife Trusts, with over 30 staff it plays a key role in conserving and enhancing the wildlife of Leicestershire and Rutland.
