Celebrate Nature’s Harvest at this free Family Fun Day at Aylestone Meadows on Saturday September 20.
From 12.30pm to 4.30pm there will be lots of activities for kids - and crafts using natural materials. You can enjoy treasure hunting, apple juice making, quizzes, foraging, children’s games, storytelling, willow weaving, folk music, heavy horse forestry, pole lathe turning, charcoal making, spinning, flower crafts, bird boxes, Saffron Acres Project, cakes and preserve, refreshments.
Remember to look out for the Leicestershire and Rutland Wildlife Trust! We are hoping to hand out free seed packets and (subject to availability) and information on wildlife gardening.
