The Leicestershire and Rutland Wildlife Trust’s Local Group indoor season is now in full swing.
A varied programme of meetings should provide something of interest of people of all ages and you are welcome to attend even if you are not a member of the Trust or Group.
The Trust has seven Local Groups – Charnwood, Great Bowden, Humberstone, Melton Mowbray, North West (based in Ashby), Oadby & Wigston, and Rutland (based at the Anglian Birdwatching Centre) – who organise monthly indoor meetings from autumn to spring.
On offer in January are talks on -
Gran Paradiso National Park with Jerry Griffiths (Charnwood)
Madagascar with Mike Webster (Melton)
Garden birds and their songs with ornithologist Nigel Slater (Great Bowden; Oadby & Wigston)
My Patch with Matt Merritt of Birdwatching magazine (North West)
Trees with Edward Milner (Rutland)
Check the events section for full details of future meetings in your neighbourhood.
